February, 2020

On behalf of our entire Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome you to RHAM Youth Baseball! RYB was formed as a new organization three years ago and will now serve as an integrated youth baseball program for kids and families from Hebron, Andover and Marlborough. We continue to expand our boundaries to promote and offer baseball to our families and also to the surrounding towns, so we can provide the best youth baseball experience in Eastern Connecticut.

We are happy to have these three towns united as one program and I want to thank everyone for their continuous hard work for making RHAM Youth Baseball the organization that continues to grow and provide our youth a baseball experience like no other. It is not only our towns baseball tradition, but also our RYB family’s commitment to our youth and countless hours of volunteering that makes RHAM Youth Baseball what it is today.

Success has been a hallmark of the RHAM Youth Baseball program over the last eight years. Last spring and fall featured more seasons of exciting, competitive baseball in our various leagues. And our summer travel and tournament teams continuing our organization’s success by competing at the highest levels in the State of Connecticut their own success as well, hat’s off to all!

2020 promises to be even bigger and better. Thanks to generous support from the Hebron Lion’s Club and Hebron Park and Recreation, there has been a major renovation of the baseball field at Veteran’s Memorial Park, including a new scoreboard. New pitch counters have also been added to the scoreboards at both of our fields at Burnt Hill Park. We will now focus our attention to Park Road Field in Marlborough. We are currently working with the Town of Marlborough on a renovation project of the field. It is our vision to make it a premier field  to be used by all of our youth leagues and tournament teams.

A major benefit of these upgrades is that Marlborough is now even better suited to host the highest caliber of youth baseball tournaments and the senior officials of Cal Ripken Baseball in CT and throughout New England continue to acknowledge this fact. In December, we learned that we have been selected to be the host for the 2020 12U 70FT Cal Ripken State of Connecticut Tournament, which will take place July 4th to the 11th  at Lion’s Field at Veteran’s Park in Hebron as well as Park Road Field in Marlborough. This is the seventh year in a row that RHAM Youth Baseball will host either a district, state or regional tournament, a very impressive feat.

So, it’s now time to dust off the gloves and head into the backyard for a catch as baseball is right around the corner. I hope you share our excitement for what we have accomplished and what will come next. Thanks for all of your support and I look forward to seeing you on one of our fields soon.
